Hemp and Your Immune System

Hemp has been a well talked about topic in the field of health. Since the decriminalization of industrial hemp and the push for hemp based consumer products, there has been tremendous efforts to research the many cannabinoids that are found in hemp. Cannabinoids have been sought after for their potential health benefits, and recent research has linked them to possibly having anti-inflammatory and a neuroprotectant properties. Past research has been done on their effects on anxiety, insomnia, epilepsy, and pain. New research suggests that there is potential that they could be used to kill bacteria, having a similar potency as common antibiotics. Bacteria tends to build resistance to anti-biotocs over time, so hemp cannabinoids could be a way to combat that build up of resistance as it may offer naturally occurring anti-microbial properties.
